error pages

Hi

Iam using GNUJSP version 1.0 on Apache( version 1.3) with apache Jserv(version 1.0)

I'm trying theerrorPage directive as in:

<%@ page errorPage="error.jsp" %>And,
 error.jsp looks like:
<%@ page isErrorPage="true" %>

When the original page gets an exception, it doesn't go to error.jsp.Instead, it showed in the browser mesage as

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: javax.servlet.ServletRequest: method setAttribute(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/Object;)V not found
this same code works smooth with jswdk from sun. 
can u pleae clarify wether this errorpages is not implemented with the  particular vesion of gnujsp or some thing wrong in coding.
