GNUJSP Tip for Windows
I was installing gnujsp100.zip for Apache 1.3.6/1.3.9 with Apache JServ
1.0 on my PC running under Windows (95), and was having problems
because of the spaces in the filenames. For example, my classpath,
etc. had directory names like
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache Jserv\...
and the "builtin-javac" command was parsing it instead of taking the
whole string. It tried to encapsulate it with various quoting schemes
(i.e. using " and ' around the whole thing, within each subdirectory,
etc.) but was still having problems. Then I tried using the
8-character DOS pathnames. For example,
C:\progra~1\apache~1\apache~1\...
It worked! I just wanted to post something so that if anyone else had
this problem, they would know how to work around it.
