Slowness with GNUJSP.....

Running     gnujsp1.0 - Apache1.3.11 - ApacheJserv1.1 - php4RC1 on a
Proliant 7000, 4 PPRO200 MHZ with 1GB of memory. This shouldn't be slow
should it? It takes about 6 to 7 seconds to display a .jsp page. Servlets
with Jserve are instantaneous. Is there anything that could be slowing down
gnujsp? What should I look at?
