[jcvs] login problems with jCVS

Hi,

I have installed CVS 1.10.7 on a machine running Solaris 2.8/Intel
(latest version I could find in a prebuilt package).

On a different machine, running same OS, patches etc I have installed
jCVS from the jCVS522 download.

I have followed all the instructions to set up CVS to run as a pserver
by putting the inetd configuration in. I have tested this from the
machine it was on and it logged in fine

cvs -d :pserver:chris@zeus:/src login
asked me for the password, entered it and then no error message, just
the shell prompt.

Now, on another machine I set up jCVS and ran it, configuring the
.jcvsdef file with my server info but when I went to the checkout
pane, selected the server, typed in the password and then clicked
checkout module I got the response

The CVS request failed.
Failed authentication with the user name 'chris'.

I HATE YOU

** The command completed with an error status

What is this "I HATE YOU" message???????
On this same machine I installed the same cvs package and ran the
cvs login command to the remote server and it also did not throw
this error.

Can someone explain to me what I need to do to further configure jCVS
please?

Thanks

Chris
