[jcvs] mailcap.txt & mimetypes.txt - how and where they should be

thank you for the quick reply.

i tried now the following:

i created the jcvsmailcap.txt and jcvsmimetypes.txt and placed them in the
$home$ directory.

the problam is that while the jcvsmailcap.txt is being loaded, jCVSii seems
not taking notice of the jcvsmimetypes.txt.

is the file neme i am using wrong? or what else could be not set?

Hi,

The best examples are included with the release.

Look in the source code in the directory com/ice/jcvsii for the
files mailcap.txt and mimetypes.txt. The ExecViewer will invoke
based on the settings in Preferences based on the file's suffix.
It uses System.exec(), so it is not Windows specific. On the
other hand, Win32Viewer is DDE based, and will invoke the file
based on the File Type associations configured in Windows. This
method will only work on a Windows platform.
